More oxygen. Less effort. Longer performance.

hyve Beet root extract helps reduce the muscles' oxygen demand during exercise, increases endurance and supports more efficient use of energy in intense training and at race pace.

Standardised nitrate content

500 mg of natural nitrates in every serving – precise endurance support with a scientifically proven effect.

More efficient muscle work and oxygen use

Nitrates help reduce oxygen consumption during exercise, extend time to exhaustion and support higher performance even at the same effort.

One of the top 5 supplements for performance support

Nitrates are among the five most effective supplements recommended by the International Olympic Committee for improving sports performance.

Use oxygen to the full and extend your performance

Nitrates support the production of nitric oxide (NO), which improves blood flow to the muscles and reduces oxygen consumption during exercise. They therefore help push back the limit of fatigue and hold your pace even in the later stages of an effort.

Dosage backed by science

One scoop (5 g) contains 500 mg of standardised nitrates – exactly the amount studies identify as the optimal dose for improving endurance performance. Take it 2–3 hours before training or a race.

For maximum effect you can also build the product into a multi-day preparation – for example 4 to 6 days in a row before a race. You can also take the extract long term for further benefits.

1 scoop equals 1 litre of beetroot juice

Forget about juicing beetroot, the mess in the kitchen and that typical “earthy” taste you quickly get tired of. Just mix one serving (5 g) into 50 ml of water – it has a pleasant, clean taste, with no unpleasant aftertaste that many athletes dislike. Thanks to the 10% standardised extract you always know exactly how many nitrates you are taking in per serving.

More performance with lower oxygen consumption

Research shows that a regular intake of nitrates can reduce oxygen consumption during intense running by up to 7 % and extend the time to exhaustion by up to 15 %. A great choice for athletes who want to hold a high pace, handle the closing kilometres and get the most out of their last reserves.

Nitrate supplements increase tolerance of high intensity and push the limits where it matters most — during 5–30min all-out sections. Whether it is a time trial, a tempo run, hard intervals or a race, they help your body use oxygen more efficiently and deliver a higher performance with less effort.

More information

hyve 100% beetroot extract was created for all athletes who want to support their performance with a scientifically proven effect.

Scientifically proven effect

Studies show that supplementing with 6–8 mmol of nitrates (≈370–500 mg) 2–3 hours before exercise can reduce the oxygen cost by approximately 7 % and extend time to exhaustion by up to 15 %.

Suitable for competitive and recreational athletes alike, in endurance as well as repeated high-intensity efforts – such as running, cycling, HIIT or team sports.

How do nitrates work?

The nitrates contained in beetroot are converted in the body into nitrite and then into nitric oxide (NO), which widens the blood vessels, improves blood flow and reduces oxygen consumption during exercise. The result is more efficient use of oxygen, delayed fatigue and a longer time to exhaustion.

Increased mitochondrial efficiency and reduced energy expenditure

Nitric oxide (NO) increases the efficiency of the mitochondria – it improves the ratio between the ATP produced and the oxygen consumed (the P/O ratio). Thanks to this, muscle cells can produce more energy while consuming less oxygen.

Research confirms that after nitrate supplementation there is an improvement in oxidative phosphorylation and a reduction in the energy demands of muscle contraction. This leads to less fatigue, better use of the available energy and more stable performance during longer efforts. NO also lowers the energy cost of transporting ions (e.g. Ca²⁺) inside muscle cells, which saves further energy and supports muscle function.

Get the most out of the product

Ideally take one serving (5 g) 2–3 hours before training or a race. That gives time for the maximum conversion of nitrates into nitric oxide (NO), which improves blood flow and the efficiency of muscle work.

The product can be taken regularly – either acutely before an effort, or every day for 4–6 days before an important race. Long-term use (e.g. during training blocks) can support adaptation to endurance or high-intensity loads.

One serving (5 g of powder) contains 500 mg of standardised natural nitrate – a dose equivalent to roughly 500 ml of beetroot juice or 1 concentrated shot.

Ideal for running, cycling, triathlon, HIIT, interval training and team sports. The effects are most noticeable in efforts lasting 5–30 minutes and in repeated intense efforts (e.g. sprints, hill reps, closing sections).

No! Unlike ordinary beetroot juice, hyve Beetroot extract has none of the typical earthy aftertaste and is gentle on digestion. It is neutral in taste and mixes easily with water or your favourite drink.

Yes! Nitrates from beetroot occur naturally in foods (e.g. spinach, lettuce or celery). hyve Beetroot extract contains a standardised amount with no ballast substances and with natural protection against the formation of nitrosamines.
