Dual carbohydrate source of glucose and fructose in a 2:1 ratio
The combination of glucose and fructose in a 2:1 ratio maximises carbohydrate absorption, increases energy utilisation by up to 50 % compared with glucose alone, minimises digestive problems and is the ideal choice for an intake of around 60–90 g of carbohydrates per hour during an endurance effort lasting longer than 2 hours or during repeated high-intensity efforts such as a half marathon, marathon, triathlon or cycling.
Sodium chloride
Replenishing sodium during exercise supports the absorption and retention of fluids, helps to maintain stable osmolality and blood sodium concentration, reduces the risk of developing hyponatraemia and helps to preserve plasma volume even with high sweat losses.
Although targeted sodium replacement is not necessary in most sporting efforts, in ultra-endurance conditions or in the heat, when an athlete replaces most of the fluid lost and has above-average sodium concentrations in sweat, replenishing it correctly plays a key role in preventing a drop in performance and in maintaining the body's fluid balance. In ordinary cases it is advisable to guide sodium intake by taste (“salt to taste”) and thereby naturally support a sufficient fluid intake.
Hypotonic, isotonic or hypertonic drink?

The hypotonic version is absorbed quickly, maintains plasma volume and ensures optimal hydration during long efforts.
The isotonic version provides more energy, but is absorbed more slowly and is better suited to shorter, intense activities.
The hypertonic version serves to replenish energy and support recovery after exercise, but during activity it can slow down fluid absorption and contribute to dehydration.
Water alone is not enough to maintain electrolyte balance during longer physical efforts.

Get the most out of the productUse hydroFuel pro during longer training sessions and races to maintain optimal performance and prevent dehydration. To maximise the effect, drink roughly 150 ml of hydroFuel pro every 15–20 minutes during activity. When drinking, we recommend easing off the pace a little and focusing on your breathing and on taking the drink in. Avoid gulping the drink down all at once; go for small sips instead, which you swallow in a controlled way without taking in unnecessary air. That way you reduce the risk of a stitch in your side.

Hypertonic drink
It contains 9–11 % carbohydrates, is mixed with 500–400 ml of water and its osmolarity exceeds 300 mOsm/L. It is a great fit for situations where you need energy quickly but hydration is not the priority – for example short, intense efforts or replenishing energy after a race.
Isotonic drink
With a carbohydrate concentration of 6–8 %, a water volume of 750–560 ml and an osmolarity of around 290 mOsm/L, it offers a balance between replenishing energy and fluids. The ideal choice for most endurance efforts, when the body needs to handle the energy demands and maintain optimal hydration at the same time.
Hypotonic drink
With 4.5–5.9 % carbohydrates, prepared with 1000–760 ml of water and an osmolarity below 280 mOsm/L. It is designed for fast and efficient hydration – perfect in high temperatures or during training sessions where the goal is not to replenish carbohydrates significantly, but rather fluids and electrolytes.
Yes! During activity it is important to top up energy continuously in a more solid form as well – ideally with a combination of gels. Depending on how demanding and how long the effort is, aim for an intake of 60 g of carbohydrates per hour. If you plan an intake higher than 60 g of carbohydrates per hour, do not forget to train it thoroughly beforehand – never try it out on race day!
Make sure that all the carbohydrates you take in during exercise have the same 2:1 ratio of glucose to fructose as hydroFuel pro.
