Glucose and fructose in a 2:1 ratio
Under a high load the body burns carbohydrates as the primary source of cellular energy (ATP). Endurance pro uses a 2:1 ratio of glucose (dextrose) and fructose. Why does that matter? Each of these carbohydrates uses a different transporter to pass from the gut into the blood (SGLT1 for glucose and GLUT5 for fructose). By mixing these two types of carbohydrate, the body is able to absorb far more energy per hour and the risk of stomach and gut problems, which often arise when taking in only one kind of carbohydrate, is significantly reduced. 30 grams of fast carbohydrates top up blood sugar in a flash, spare muscle glycogen and supply the muscles with fuel for maximum contractions.
L-citrulline: Maximum blood flow and delayed fatigue
L-citrulline is a non-essential amino acid that works as a highly effective precursor for the production of nitric oxide (NO) in the body. Nitric oxide widens the blood vessels (it has a vasodilatory effect), which dramatically improves blood flow to the working muscles, makes the delivery of oxygen and nutrients easier and at the same time speeds up the removal of metabolic waste. A dose of 6 g corresponds exactly to the amounts used in the scientific studies that showed citrulline improves both endurance and strength performance and helps to delay fatigue. On top of that, citrulline is absorbed from the digestive tract far better than arginine and does not cause unpleasant gut problems.

Caffeine is the most researched and most reliable legal stimulant in the world. Its main effect lies in blocking the receptors for adenosine in the brain, which suppresses the feeling of fatigue, increases alertness and improves cognitive function. A dose of 200 mg (which in an adult falls within the optimal range of 3–6 mg per kilogram of body weight) demonstrably improves performance across a wide range of activities – from endurance sports to repeated sprints and strength training. Caffeine also stimulates the release of calcium in the muscles, which directly supports greater muscle strength and explosiveness.

Dual carbohydrate source of glucose and fructose in a 2:1 ratio
The combination of glucose and fructose in a 2:1 ratio maximises carbohydrate absorption and increases energy utilisation by up to 50 % compared with glucose alone. What the studies say: Research (e.g. Jentjens et al., 2004) has shown that a mixture of glucose and fructose increases the rate at which the supplied carbohydrates are burned by a massive 75 % (up to 1.75 g/min) compared with glucose administered alone. Subsequent performance studies (Currell and Jeukendrup, 2008) further confirmed that this combination not only reduces the subjective rating of perceived exertion (RPE), but leads to significantly better times in endurance time trials in a direct comparison with the same amount of isolated glucose.
L-Citrulline
Supplementation with L-citrulline is the most effective route to increasing the plasma level of L-arginine, and it does so more effectively than administering arginine alone. The increased availability of arginine stimulates the enzyme endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) to produce nitric oxide (NO) on a massive scale. NO acts as a strong vasodilator – it widens the blood vessels, which maximises microcirculation and the delivery of oxygen to the working muscles, while genuinely reducing the oxygen cost of muscle contraction. At the same time, citrulline suppresses hyperammonaemia (an excessive build-up of ammonia that hampers energy metabolism). Ideally, supplement L-citrulline at a dose of 3.4–6 g per day for at least 6–16 days before the effort, which according to the data brings a significant improvement in endurance capacity
What the studies say: An extensive meta-analysis of ten independent studies (Viribay et al., 2022) showed that taking 3.4 to 6.0 g of citrulline per day clearly leads to improved aerobic performance compared with placebo. Further studies in trained cyclists recorded improved times and a lower perception of muscle fatigue in high-intensity tests after supplementation with 6 g of citrulline. In endurance sports, even a small percentage improvement means a world of difference in the finishing straight.
Caffeine
Caffeine blocks fatigue receptors in the brain and directly stimulates muscle contraction. Endurance Pro does not contain it only for focus, however, but also for the so-called additive effect, where the ingredients work better together than on their own.
What the studies say: Meta-analyses (Christensen et al., 2017) consistently show that caffeine on its own brings an average improvement of 1 % in high-intensity efforts compared with placebo, which at elite level decides races. The most important finding, however, came from the study by Yeo et al. (2005), which found that taking caffeine and carbohydrates together increases the rate at which these carbohydrates are burned by a further 26 %. This advantage was subsequently confirmed by the meta-analysis by Conger et al. (2011), with the conclusion that the combination of caffeine and carbohydrates provides a small, but demonstrably greater and statistically significant performance bonus compared with merely supplementing with carbohydrates.
