Jak samodzielnie zmierzyć tętno?
RHR można zmierzyć podczas EKG, przy pomiarze ciśnienia u lekarza albo możesz zmierzyć je samodzielnie w domu. Usiądź tak, aby obie stopy dotykały podłogi, albo połóż się na plecach
- Po 5 minutach całkowitego spoczynku wyczuj jedną z tętnic szyjnych (po lewej lub prawej stronie tchawicy)
- Połóż w tym miejscu palec wskazujący i środkowy; gdy wyczujesz tętno, policz liczbę uderzeń w ciągu 15 sekund.
- Tę liczbę pomnóż przez cztery, otrzymasz RHR.1
RHR można dość dokładnie zmierzyć również za pomocą zegarków sportowych lub smartwatchy. Garmin, Coros, Suunto czy Polar są dziś już bardzo precyzyjne i do orientacyjnego wskazania tętna spoczynkowego ich użycie wystarcza. Zegarki Apple osiągają zwykle podobne wartości. Najdokładniejsze wartości RHR poza gabinetem lekarskim uzyskasz jednoznacznie za pomocą pomiaru pasem piersiowym lub ciśnieniomierzem.
Zbyt wysokie lub zbyt niskie tętno spoczynkowe?
Jeśli twoja wartość tętna spoczynkowego różni się od średniej 60-80 uderzeń na minutę
Bradykardia (RHR < 60)
Bradykardia charakteryzuje się tętnem spoczynkowym niższym niż 60 uderzeń na minutę. Ten stan zwykle nie jest niebezpieczny dla zdrowia, jednak u osób, które nie są aktywne fizycznie, może wywoływać objawy takie jak zmęczenie, osłabienie lub zawroty głowy. U sportowców bradykardia jest zjawiskiem powszechnym.4
Tachykardia (RHR > 80)
Z drugiej strony tachykardia jest definiowana jako tętno spoczynkowe wyższe niż 80 uderzeń na minutę. Tachykardia może stanowić ryzyko zdrowotne, ponieważ jest czynnikiem ryzyka rozwoju chorób sercowo-naczyniowych.5
Jeśli nie jesteś sportowcem, skonsultuj odchylenia w obie strony z lekarzem. Jeśli jesteś sportowcem z regularnym treningiem, bradykardia będzie u ciebie zjawiskiem powszechnym.
Jakie czynniki wpływają na tętno spoczynkowe?
Na tętno spoczynkowe może wpływać kilka czynników:
